OK, it’s the new year, a time when people make new year resolutions. Please consider making this the year that you resolve to judging every word that comes out of your mouth, before it come out!  Think about the scripture in Proverbs 18:21 that says, “there is life and death in the power of the tongue”. You know, that’s referring to your tongue. Just think about that for a moment, you have the power to speak life, or death. Let’s look at another scripture in Matt. 12:37, “By your words, you are justified, and by your words, you are condemned” There again, Selah! (Which means, stop and think about what you just read.) This is serious business, we can sound like everyone else, or, we can speak life! Prosperity! Joy! in the midst of troubled times. Yes, we have that much power.

We can change circumstances in our lives and those around us too. How many times have you heard, or said yourself, OH I was just kidding. Words, our words are so powerful they can put the devil on the run or, give him something to use against us. 1 Peter 5:8 tells us to, “be sober, be vigilant; because the devil YOUR adversary goes around like a roaring lion, seeking who he may devour.” That lets you know to begin with that he cannot devour just anybody. He has to have something to work with and it’s words he looking for.

That’s why the Bible says in Proverbs to guard your heart with all diligence for out of it comes the issues of life. Now, couple that with the scripture that says out of the heart the mouth speaks.

Getting back to the power of words, lets look at the story in Mark Chapter 12. I’ll paraphrase it. Jesus had just spoke a parable against the Pharisees and they were irate against Him, so they sent certain of the Scribes and Pharisees TO CATCH HIM IN HIS WORDS. And that is exactly what the devil is doing, trying to catch you in your words. Satan is a master deceiver, and to say, OH I was just kidding, or God knows what I meant, does not hold water in the courts of heaven! by your words you will be justified, or by your words you will be condemned.

This letter is not meant to be a downer, it is meant to lift us up, because if we don’t like where we are right now, we have the power and ability to change situations and circumstances that effect us.

The story in Luke chapter one, again I will paraphrase, the birth of John the Baptist was announced to Zachariah  by the angel Gabriel no less, and because of Zachariah’s words of doubt and unbelief, his mouth had to be shut so he wouldn’t mess up the plan of God for Zachariah to have a son that would prepare the way of the Lord Jesus to bring back the Blessing to His children. Once John was born and Zachariah couldn’t mess it up WITH HIS WORDS, his speech was returned to him.

Please meditate on this letter…… and the scriptures in it so it WILL change your life and your family and your city and your country and help reestablish the Garden of Eden here on the earth. Remember the Lords prayer? in earth as it is in heaven! Oh my friends, He wants us to be happy, filled with love, peace, and joy, to be healthy and to be wealthy. We serve a good God!
